Can I get a fit to fly certificate without seeing a doctor in person?
Yes. Our service is fully online. You complete a health questionnaire and upload supporting evidence (antenatal notes for pregnancy, a hospital discharge letter for post-surgery, or relevant medical correspondence for conditions). A GMC-registered GP reviews your submission and issues the certificate if clinically appropriate — no appointment or clinic visit needed.
From how many weeks pregnant do airlines need a certificate?
Most major UK airlines (including BA, easyJet, and Ryanair) require a fit to fly certificate from 28 weeks for a single pregnancy, and from 26 weeks for multiples. After 36 weeks (single) or 32 weeks (multiples), most airlines will not allow you to fly at all. Always check your specific airline’s policy as requirements vary.
How long is the certificate valid?
For pregnancy, the certificate is typically valid for one return journey with a window of up to 14 days between outbound and return flights. For post-surgery and medical conditions, certificates are usually accepted for up to 4–6 weeks, depending on the condition and airline. Our GP will confirm the appropriate validity period on your certificate.
My airline has a specific form — can you complete it?
Yes. If your airline requires their own specific form or template (such as a MEDIF), upload it alongside your medical evidence when ordering and our GP will complete and sign it where clinically appropriate. There is no additional charge for standard airline forms.
What if I need it urgently?
