To obtain a visa for a non-lucrative stay or a student visit to Spain lasting more than 90 days (within a 180-day period) and up to one year, applicants must provide a medical certificate of good health (IHR 2005) as part of the required documentation. This certificate ensures that the individual does not suffer from any serious illnesses that could pose a public health risk.

The medical certificate for good health is a mandatory document in the visa application process for Spain’s non-lucrative visa. Also known as the Spanish passive income visa or D7 visa, this option is available to UK citizens and other non-EU nationals who can demonstrate sufficient financial means to support themselves without engaging in employment while residing in Spain.

The visa grants the holder the right to stay in Spain for an extended period, exceeding the standard 90-day tourist allowance, and up to one year. Once the initial period expires, visa holders may apply for renewal, provided they continue to meet the financial and legal requirements set by Spanish authorities.
